Nextail Named Among Spain’s Top AI Companies in PATIO Campus “The Next 35” Report

  • Retail merchandising platform recognized for over a decade of AI-driven impact on fashion industry operations

Madrid, June 16, 2026Nextail, the B2B retail intelligence platform helping fashion brands optimize inventory and merchandising decisions, has been named one of Spain’s 35 most impactful AI scaleups in the third edition of The Next 35, published by PATIO Campus.

The report, which identifies the next generation of Spanish scaleups leading the adoption of artificial intelligence in business, evaluated more than 185 candidates across five criteria: impact, innovation, viability, maturity, and integration. Nextail was selected alongside companies such as Magnific, Clarity AI, and Fracttal as part of a ranking designed to highlight AI solutions with real, measurable value for enterprise environments.

One of the report’s central findings is that the most impactful AI companies in Spain are not products of the recent generative AI boom. As PATIO Campus notes, 80% of the companies in the ranking were founded before 2022, which is a signal that a meaningful AI advantage is built over years, rather than just months, through accumulated technology, data, product depth, and sector knowledge.

Nextail, founded in 2014, is a clear example of this: More than a decade of purpose-built AI applied to one of fashion retail’s most complex operational challenges: ensuring fashion retailers are able to meet customer demand in-season, no matter how it change, by combining proprietary models with rich retail data to drive decisions across allocation, replenishment, and inventory rebalancing.

The Spanish-rooted perspective clearly matters. The Next 35 specifically recognizes companies founded in Spain or led by Spanish founders, reflecting the growing maturity and global relevance of the Spanish AI ecosystem. Nextail is proud to be part of a generation of Spanish technology companies that are shaping the AI conversation.

“Being recognized in The Next 35 is a reflection of the work we’ve been doing for over a decade, building AI that doesn’t just promise transformation, but delivers it in the middle of real operational complexity,” said Carlos Miragall, CEO of Nextail. “Fashion retail is a uniquely demanding environment, and we’re proud that the maturity and impact of our approach has been recognized by this committee.”

The evaluation committee was composed of innovation leaders from major Spanish corporations including Atresmedia, Iberia, Kyndryl, L’Oréal Groupe, MERLIN Properties, Pascual, Publicis, Roadis, Social Nest, and Valoriza.
