In order to support the exponential growth ahead of us we are looking to add a VP Operations profile to our current team of thirty people. The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s operations as we build one of the leading software companies in Europe, backed by the number one VC fund in Spain according to Dealroom.
The VP Operations will head the Operations and Support areas under the supervision of the COO, and sits at the core of the value delivered by Nextail to its clients.
The VP Operations is responsible for implementing and refining the strategies and processes that enable our clients to quickly roll-out the different modules that make up our software, from integration to handover, without a glitch. Additionally, the VP Operations is responsible for first-line incidence management (internally and externally).
While most of our operations are run from our headquarters in sunny Madrid, we also have teams located in the main markets where we operate, currently Spain, Italy and Russia. English is the company language, but within the team we speak altogether some 16 languages (counting both those of humans and computers).
You have experience in Operations in retail, CPG, or any industry with a strong back office function. You are used to fast-paced environments and taking decisions that create or destroy value in split seconds.
You are a team player with people management experience, and might have led distributed teams with diverse backgrounds. You are able to juggle multiple priorities at the same time and under time pressure.
You bring a strong understanding of, and passion for, information technology and agile development methodologies, and have experience managing IT projects with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
You can demonstrate strong project management and client service skills developed in a project or program management function or a consulting environment, to make sure Nextail delivers the highest value to our clients in the shortest time.
Your analytical skills are top-notch and enable you to understand and be able to support our clients’ operational issues; an understanding of advanced supply chain optimization methods is a plus.
You are fluent in Spanish and English (other languages a plus) and are interested in working in an international company.
